I have been playing with Google’s new IM/VOIP client called Google Talk. I was wondering how Google, a company that kept Gmail a relative secret until it was launched on April 1 could let their Talk client slip the day before it was supposed to be released.
However, I think I have the answer.
There were some bugs that needed sorting out before it was unleashed to the world. And what better way to beta/stress test than to get a bunch of geeks onto it the day before it comes out to work out any last minute kinks.
I base this assumption on this:
